If Murrayville has a downtown, this is it: the block of Fraser Highway and 48 Avenue where the hospital, the pool, the library and the supermarket sit within walking distance of each other. It’s built around those services, so it works best for people who want them close, and it comes with the parking and traffic that service clusters bring.

Housing in the area
This is where the apartments and townhouses are. Lexington Court (4871 221 Street) and Solaro (22304 50 Avenue, 98 rental homes in two four-storey buildings) are the two documented purpose-built rental buildings. On October 30, 2026, Lexington Court advertised one-bedroom units from $1,995 a month and two-bedrooms from $2,480, with underground parking and a rule for cats and dogs under about 6.8 kg. Those are one building’s asking rents. Details and what to ask for are on the housing page.
The Township’s application list also includes small infill in the area, such as four detached homes proposed at 4945 224 Street (filed July 7, 2026). That is a proposal, not an approval.
Parking, the real story
Hospital visitors, staff and residents all want the same curb. Some streets nearby have two-hour limits. We couldn’t find a complete list of the signed blocks, so check the signs and don’t assume. The Township has no general residential permit scheme, and public curb space isn’t reserved for the house in front of it. Fraser Health’s hospital lots are paid (day rates of $10.25 in the main lot and $11.25 in the emergency lot in October 2026; shorter and 24-hour stays differ).
For a rental or a condo, the building’s own stall matters more than its distance to the hospital: ask how many stalls come with a unit, whether there’s visitor parking, and what an extra stall costs. Parking complaints go to Township Bylaw Enforcement (604-532-7551). See also getting around.
Walk it once. Fraser Highway splits some trips in this area. Before you rent or buy, walk from the front door to the grocery store, the library and the stop you'd use, and note where you cross.
Buses
Route 560 runs through the hospital and nearby streets about hourly; 503 runs along Fraser Highway about every 30 minutes outside the peaks. Neither is a SkyTrain-style frequent line, so check your stop.
Schools and parks
James Hill Elementary on Old Yale Road is the core neighbourhood school. Langley Fundamental Elementary (21789 50 Avenue) is nearby but is a choice programme, so admission doesn’t follow your address. Check the exact address in the district’s locator. Besides the activity park, Arthur Rose Park (52 Avenue at 223 Street) has a pond, trails and a playground.
Back up to Murrayville or across to Five Corners, the old village a kilometre west.
