Fraser Highway gets a bus about every half hour outside the peaks. Most of the rest of Murrayville gets one an hour. That single fact shapes how car-light life works here, and it’s why the first thing to do with any address is look up the nearest stop and its timetable.
Which buses run through Murrayville?
Timetable effective September 7, 2026, checked October 2026. Intervals are our reading of the scheduled departures, not live predictions.
| Route | Where it goes | Weekday peak | Weekday off-peak | Weekend |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 503 Aldergrove / Langley Centre / Surrey Central | The Fraser Highway corridor, with the western approach on 216 Street and 56 Avenue. Connects to King George and Surrey Central. | About every 10 to 30 minutes on the eastern branch, varying by direction and hour | About every 30 minutes | About every 30 minutes |
| 560 Murrayville / Langley Centre | Hospital and local streets: 216 St, 52 Ave, 221A St, 50 Ave, 222 St, 48 Ave, Old Yale Rd, 220 St and 46 Ave | About hourly | About hourly | About hourly |
| 556 Langley Centre / Gloucester | 56 Avenue along the northern edge, useful for the airport and McLeod area | Every 30 minutes, peak periods only | No regular midday service | No regular service |
Notes on reading that table:
- The 503 is only that frequent on its busiest sections. Check the stop you’d actually use.
- The 560 runs through to the Brookswood 561, which doesn’t make it a second all-day route past the hospital.
- The 556 began on September 7, 2026. Departures from Langley Centre run roughly 5:15 to 8:15 a.m. and 2:45 to 5:45 p.m., and the return direction roughly 6 to 9 a.m. and 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Check direction and stop before relying on it for a shift.
Service alerts and temporary stop changes are on TransLink’s alerts page. Feedback on a route goes through TransLink’s feedback form: give the route, stop and time. Our transit in Langley guide covers fares and the wider network.
SkyTrain: now and later
Now: the useful Expo Line connection is King George Station, reached on the 503. A routing tool shows about 22 minutes by car between King George and Murrayville and roughly an hour by bus in that direction, an estimate and not a rush-hour measurement.
Later: the Surrey Langley SkyTrain extension is under construction, and the Province’s project page lists late 2029 as the anticipated opening. Its Langley City Centre station, at 203 Street and Industrial Avenue, is in Langley City, west of Murrayville. No Murrayville station is part of the extension, so you’ll need a bus, a bike or a car for the first leg. We couldn’t find a verified door-to-station time from a defined Murrayville address; test your own.
Commute times (and their limits)
| To | What we found | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Downtown Vancouver | A routing tool shows about 51 km, 44 minutes by car and 1 hour 42 minutes by bus and Expo Line (October 2026) | A baseline. It doesn’t control for your start point, parking or congestion. |
| Surrey Central | Direct on the 503 | Test your stop and departure in TransLink’s planner |
| Langley City centre | The 560 takes roughly 15 minutes in the vehicle from the hospital timing point | Add the wait. Hourly service matters more than the ride time. |
| Abbotsford | No reliable fixed-origin estimate | Test your destination and work hours |
None of these is a promise of a typical rush-hour trip.
Driving: the corridors that matter
- Fraser Highway carries east-west trips through the hospital area.
- 216 Street is the link to Highway 1. The 216 Street interchange opened in September 2020, and the province’s Highway 1 page (updated April 2026) shows the 216 to 264 Street phase under construction. We didn’t find a confirmed completion date.
- 48 Avenue and Old Yale Road connect the village and the eastern parts of Murrayville.
Old Yale Road west of 216 Street to the municipal boundary was rebuilt. The Township’s May 2026 update says roadwork was complete, with minor plaza work still going, and the project added a multi-use path, sidewalks, traffic calming and utility work. It’s separate from the 216 Street Complete Street project farther north and from the Fraser Highway widening at the 24300 to 24600 blocks, which are outside Murrayville. For today’s closures, see Langley road closures.
Walking and cycling
There are two real walking clusters: the cafés and hall at Five Corners, and the grocery, library, pool and medical offices in the hospital area. The Old Yale upgrade added a walking and cycling link on the western side. We found no current Walk Score by sub-area or complete list of sidewalk gaps, so check your frontage, the driveway crossings and the arterial crossings on foot. More in our cycling guide.
Park and ride
Carvolth Exchange (20255 86 Avenue) is well north of Murrayville, not a walk-up station. TransLink lists 679 spaces, $2 daily or $40 monthly, open 4 a.m. to 2 a.m., with no overnight parking (checked October 2026).
Parking in Murrayville
On the street. The Township says some streets near Langley Memorial Hospital have two-hour limits. We couldn’t find a complete list of signed blocks, so read the signs. There is no general residential permit scheme, public curb space isn’t reserved for the home in front of it, and the general limit for a parked vehicle is 72 hours, subject to stricter signs.
At the hospital. Fraser Health’s page (checked October 2026) lists day rates of $10.25 in the main lot and $11.25 in the emergency lot; 24-hour rates are higher, so confirm what’s posted on arrival. More in our hospital guide and the Langley-wide parking guide.
RVs, boats and trailers. The Township separates the street from private property. On the street, an attached trailer or RV combination is limited to 48 hours total per calendar year. On private property in residential zones, front-driveway storage is generally limited to April 1 to September 30 and must sit at least 1.6 m inside the pavement or sidewalk edge. Rural and suburban zones can differ, and “Murrayville” on the address is not permission, so check your zoning in the Township’s mapping.
Raising an issue. Bylaw Enforcement (604-532-7551) takes parking complaints. Engineering (604-533-6006) takes traffic and street-design requests. Name the street, cross street, time and what you saw. We found no measured parking-occupancy or cut-through data for Murrayville, so don’t assume one street’s problem is everyone’s.
