Groceries, a pharmacy, a library card and a hospital are all within about a kilometre of 222 Street and 48 Avenue. Five Corners, the old village a short way west, adds cafés and history but no big shops. That’s the whole shape of Murrayville errands, and it’s worth knowing which of the two you’d live next to.

Two places to shop, a kilometre apart

Five Corners (216 Street, 48 Avenue and Old Yale Road)

  • Porter’s Bistro, 21611 48 Avenue, is a café in the historic general-store building. See Five Corners for the walk around the old village.
  • Tracycakes Bakery Cafe, 21594 48 Avenue, is a bakery and café at the same crossroads. Its site carries 2026 information.

Check hours with them before a special trip. This is the place for a coffee or a loaf, and the weekly shop is east.

We found no confirmed full hardware store, and no survey of where residents buy clothing or specialty food. Plan to drive for those, and map your own list of regular errands before you decide on a street.

Farmers’ markets. There isn’t a weekly one in Murrayville. The 2026 Langley Community Farmers Market ran Wednesdays at Douglas Park in Langley City and Thursdays at Spirit Square at Langley Events Centre (7888 200 Street). Ralph’s is a permanent store, not a weekly market.

Health care close to home

The Langley-wide health care guide explains how to find a doctor. What Murrayville adds is the building itself.

Langley Memorial Hospital, 22051 Fraser Highway (604-514-6000), has a 24-hour emergency department. Living near it doesn’t mean shorter waits or a family doctor. Our hospital guide covers its services, parking and the charities behind it. Check which entrance your appointment uses.

Urgent care. The Langley Urgent and Primary Care Centre is at 202-20434 64 Avenue (604-514-7477), outside Murrayville. It opened at that permanent address in May 2025; its page listed 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, so check before travelling.

Everyday care. Murals Medical Clinic advertises family and walk-in care but requires appointments. Shoppers has a pharmacy. We couldn’t verify new-patient availability or wait times at any local clinic or dentist, so ask when you call. Our Langley doctors guide lists ways to look for one.

Emergency contacts. Fire Hall 6 is at 22170 50 Avenue, in the same precinct. The Murrayville (Main) RCMP detachment is at 22180 48A Avenue, and Langley RCMP’s non-emergency line is 604-532-3200.

The library, the hall and a few other anchors

The Murrayville Library has a calendar for different ages, from baby and toddler programmes to chess and knitting. The Murrayville Community Memorial Hall (21667 48 Avenue, built 1928) is run by its hall association and takes bookings. The United Churches of Langley site at 21562 Old Yale Road runs Food and Friends, a social gathering for people 55 and over, with registration through 604-533-1679 or [email protected] (check each date and charge). The Langley Senior Resources Society, in Langley City at 20605 51B Avenue (604-530-3020), serves the wider Langley community; see our seniors’ guide.

What we couldn’t confirm

Current Canada Post counter hours (use Canada Post’s locator), whether any particular clinic or dental office is taking new patients, and a full inventory of farm stands and private gyms. We’d rather say so than guess. Spotted something out of date? Tell us.
