Yorkson Community Park is the one most people mean when they say “the park”. Its north side is finished and open: an accessible playground that opened in January 2026, a spray park and the rest of the north-side work done by May 2026, a pump track since November 20, 2025, fields, and two dog areas. The south side is another story, and it is covered further down.

Yorkson Community Park

Where: the address is 84 Avenue around 206 Street, and there is more access and parking from 82 Avenue. The Township’s park map lists ball diamonds, synthetic and grass fields, the playground, spray park, pump track, paths, large and small off-leash dog areas, washrooms, drinking water and parking. Hours are seasonal, so look for signs on site.

The pump track is an asphalt loop of rolling lanes that the Township designed for a wide range of ages and skill levels. It opened on November 20, 2025, on the south side of 82 Avenue, replacing the old bike park there. Our skate and bike parks page has more.

Dogs get two off-leash areas on the park map, one for large dogs and one for small. Follow what is posted at the gate. The wider options are in our off-leash dog parks guide.

Parking. The north-side works added 75 stalls, which helps on a normal day but is no promise on a tournament Saturday. See the parking notes on our getting around page.

Staying on the path. The park map also shows conservation land, a creek and stormwater infrastructure. Those are habitat and drainage, not play areas. Stay on signed paths, keep out of detention ponds and don’t cut across private land. We couldn’t find an official length or grade for any creekside loop, so we won’t invent one.

What isn’t built yet

The Township’s south-side plan covers more recreation space, paths and parking. A construction tender (26-207) was posted in August 2026, closed in September and showed as terminated on the Township’s tender portal in October. That tells us one buying process ended. It does not say the whole project is cancelled, and no replacement tender or opening date is public. If you are buying near the south side, ask Development Services what is planned.

The four replacement lighted tennis courts on 80 Avenue, in front of the Langley Tennis Centre at 20611 80 Avenue, are a separate project. The Township’s page describes them but we have not seen an opening date.

The three school parks

Park Where What’s there
Lynn Fripps Park 81A Ave and 210 St, south of the school Playground, ball and soccer fields, picnic area, drinking water, washrooms
Richard Bulpitt Park 77A Ave and 211 St, beside the school Playground, fields, sports box, drinking water. We couldn’t confirm a public washroom
Donna Gabriel Robins Park 20581 78 Ave Playground, paths, grass sports space, drinking water, washrooms, parking. Finished March 2025; the old name was Southwest Yorkson Neighbourhood Park

School grounds belong to the school district, and the park beside them belongs to the Township, so access rules can differ even when there is no fence between them.

A walk or ride

The 80 Avenue corridor between 204 and 212 Streets is about 1.6 km. Walking it takes roughly 20 minutes, or 6 to 7 minutes by bike, using our own street-grid calculation (4.8 and 15 km/h, crossing waits not counted). The Township finished the widening in July 2026, with multi-use and protected cycling facilities, crossing work and a new refuge at 207 Street. It joins the town centre to the park and the shops at Yorkson Village. Our Langley hikes and walks page covers longer trips.

Clubs, volunteers and next steps

Langley United Soccer Association and North Langley Diamond Sports run youth programs; register with the club and age group, not the field. The Langley Environmental Partners Society lists watershed stewardship work for the Yorkson creek system. Contact them before you plan any clean-up. For the rest of the neighbourhood see our Yorkson overview, the schools page and the Langley-wide playground guide.

Questions people ask about Yorkson

What is at Yorkson Community Park?
The Township’s park map shows ball diamonds, synthetic and grass fields, a playground, a spray park, a pump track, paths, large and small off-leash dog areas, washrooms, drinking water and parking. The address is 84 Avenue around 206 Street, with more access and parking from 82 Avenue. Seasonal hours apply.
Is Yorkson Community Park finished?
The north side is. The playground opened in January 2026, and the spray park and the rest of the north-side work were finished in May 2026. The south side is a separate phase: its construction tender (26-207) was marked terminated on the Township’s tender portal in October 2026, and no replacement date has been announced.
When did the Yorkson pump track open?
The Township opened the asphalt pump track on November 20, 2025, on the 82 Avenue side of the park. It replaced the older bike park there. See our skate and bike parks page for others around Langley.
Is there an off-leash dog park in Yorkson?
Yes. The Township’s map for Yorkson Community Park shows separate large-dog and small-dog off-leash areas. Follow the posted rules on site, and see our off-leash dog parks guide for other options.
Is there a swimming pool in Yorkson?
No municipal pool sits inside the Yorkson boundary. The closest we know of is at Walnut Grove Community Centre, 8889 Walnut Grove Drive across Highway 1, which has a 50-metre pool, a leisure pool, a gym and a fitness centre. Check the centre’s live pool schedule before you go.
Are there tennis courts in Yorkson?
The Langley Tennis Centre is at 20611 80 Avenue. The Township is also building four replacement lighted outdoor courts at Yorkson Community Park in front of it, but we have not seen an opening date, so check the project page before planning a game. Pickleball players go to Willoughby Community Park, which has 11 dedicated courts.
Can kids play soccer or baseball near Yorkson?
Yes, through clubs. Langley United Soccer Association handles soccer registration, and North Langley Diamond Sports lists local fields, including Richard Bulpitt. You register with the club by age group; a nearby field does not mean a drop-in program. See our soccer and baseball pages.
Is there a hiking trail along Yorkson Creek?
Not a continuous public one that we could confirm. Stay on the signed park paths and public streets. The park’s conservation land, creek and stormwater ponds are not walking routes, and nearby private land is closed to the public.

Last checked October 29, 2026. Things change fast in a growing area: confirm anything important (catchments, rents, bus times) with the official source linked. Spotted something out of date? Tell us.
